The Syrian National Army announced shooting down a Russian drone Tuesday, in its control areas in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
The Syrian National Army, backed by Turkey, shot down a Russian-made drone flying over the town of Sulouk, in the northern countryside of Raqqa, Baladi News correspondent in Raqqa reported.
Russian forces have been deployed in military bases in the northern countryside of Raqqa after the start of the operation Peace Spring last October, which led to the withdrawal of the international coalition from the points it was occupying in the countryside of Raqqa.
As a result, Kurdish units called on Russian and regime forces to deploy in the coalition's bases Ain Issa in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
