The Russian aircraft conducted several airstrikes on Saturday night and Sunday in the area of Jabal Al-Arbaeen and Maarat Al-Numan in Idlib's southern countryside.
The warplanes took off from Hmaimim airbase, and conducted four airstrikes on Jabal Al-Arbaeen south of Idlib, where they fired high-explosive missiles, Baladi News correspondent reported Sunday afternoon.
Four similar airstrikes targeted the same area on Saturday midnight, Baladi correspondent added.
The same warplanes targeted the town of Maar Shureen, while some other towns and villages in the same countryside have gone under rocket and artillery bombardment according to Baladi correspondent.
Observers say that Russia and Assad regime forces continue targeting the rebels' controlled areas in an attempt to prevent the displaced civilians from returning to southern Idlib's villages which they were displaced from during the recent military campaign of Russia and regime forces in the province of Idlib.
