Syrian Network for Human Rights: 21 Massacres in Syria Last Month

Syrian network for human rights documented 21 massacres against civilians last March; 11 of which were committed by Assad's regime forces and his allied militias.

The detailed report says that one massacre was committed by Russian forces, 3 other by ISIS, one by International Coalition forces and one more by the opposition factions, in addition to 4 by unknown bodies.

A massacre is a crime where more than 5 peaceful people are killed at once, according to the network.

The massacres took place in eight different Syrian regions: 6 in Deir Al Zor, 4 in Al-Raqqah, 3 in Aleppo, 3 in Damascus countryside, 1 in Edlib and the same number for Daraa and Al Hasakah.

The massacres resulted in the martyrdom of 204 civilians, 51 of which are children and 39 are women which means 42% of victims, according to the documentation team in the network.
