DENMARK wants to JAIL people who travel to Syria without the authorities permission as the war on terror continues.

Justice Minister Søren Pind issued the proposal where he urged the Government to jail people who visited the war-ridden country without informing the state for up to six years.
Mr Pind added that the measure was needed to combat extremism as Denmark continues to struggle with radicalism within its borders.
The proposal has already gained a majority support in Parliament according to local media.

He continued: “You can get dispensation as a private person or as an organisation if you have a credible purpose for the trip. It may be relief work or if a family member is travelling home for a funeral. But this is about shutting down the influx of [extremist] fighters.”
The call for stricter regulations on potential jihadi fighters comes as European counter-terrorism police smashed a huge ISIS sleeper cell in Denmark on Thursday.
Police moved in and arrested four terror suspects in Copenhagen who are believed to have been planning Brussels-style massacre.
A statement said: "The arrests took place as part of efforts to combat people enlisting in terrorist groups in the war-torn areas in Syria and northern Iraq."
More than 125 people from Denmark are believed to have joined ISIS after going to Syria and Iraq, Danish intelligence service PET said in October, adding that at least 27 of them have died there.
Danish authorities have been on high alert since two people were killed in shooting attacks on a free speech event and a synagogue in Copenhagen in February last year.
